BIOGRAPHY
Perth born and raised, Teresa Ingrilli is an emerging Australian classical lyric soprano based in Melbourne, Australia. She has performed both locally and internationally in opera, operetta and oratorio. Internationally, she has performed in Germany, Ireland and China.
Teresa was accepted as an emerging artist for Melbourne Opera’s Richard Divall Emerging Artist Program, as a chorus member for Victorian Opera and guest artist for Forest Collective (where she created the role of Ariadne in Labyrinth). She won 1st place for the Mildura Eisteddfod Aria, Warrnambool Aria and John Sutherland and Richard Bonynge Foundation Sydney International Song Prize. She was a semi-finalist for the Herald Sun and the Sydney Eisteddfod Opera Scholarship.
Teresa is a co-founder of Balcony Opera which was created during the Victorian lockdowns with soprano Lisette Bolton to share the joy of classical singing, perform and to bring the community together through the pandemic. Balcony opera appeared in The Age, Channel 7’s Weekend Sunrise, ABC Radio Melbourne and on BBC Proms - A night at the Opera.
